Rich Corn Cake ~ The sweetest thing

Servings 8 - 10 Servings

Ingredients
  

  • Butter for coating pan
  • 1 C corn meal
  • 1 C all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 C sour cream
  • 1/4 C sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp melted butter cooled

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Coat a 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan with butter
  • In a large bowl. combine the dry ingredients well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and add the milk, melted butter sweet milk.
  • Mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredients together until all lumps are gone.
  • Pour the batter into buttered pan.
  • Bake in oven for 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when testing the middle.
  • Allow to cool and slice for serving.
