Smokey Sweet BBQ Sauce - that doesn't come from a bottle!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 28 ounce cans organic tomato sauce
  • 1 C dark brown sugar
  • 1/8 C molasses
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • 2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp corn starch for thickening
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tbsp bourbon
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp ground tumeric
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1/2 C pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp dried chipotle peppers
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Cook on low heat for about 2.5 hours.
