Sunshine Sherbet ~ Orange Creamsicle

Ingredients
  

  • 3 C freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 C whole milk
  • 1 C heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp orange extract optional

Instructions
 

  • Combine the orange juice and sugar.
  • Whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Chill the orange juice mixture in refrigerator until cold.
  • In a large bowl, combine the orange juice mixture with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Pour mixture into ice cream mixture and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Place the mixture in a freezer safe container and freeze until set.
  • For freezing without an ice cream maker, simply place the mixture in a freezer safe container and stir once an hour until the sherbet is set.
